About Me
Hi, I’m Zoe I make ceramic jewellery and decorative ceramics. I design, illustrate and make all my pieces, ceramic fox pins, badger ceramic plates, cat ceramic brooches.
I love the process of Sgraffito (in Italian "to scratch") it is a decorating pottery technique produced by applying layers of color or colors (underglazes or colored slips) to leather hard pottery and then scratching off parts of the layers to create contrasting images, patterns and texture and reveal the clay color underneath.
I live on the Suffolk coast, in a cottage with a studio in the garden, I’m married to a theatrical set builder and we have two daughters and two cats. I’m welsh and used to live in London, where I was a display, prop maker for theatre, shops and festivals.
